Worthing senior posts elite SAT score

Traquan Minor is a tall, quietly confident, graduating senior at Sunnyside’s Worthing High school. Like many other students, he had to take the dreaded SAT earlier this school year.

He knew that doing well on the SAT would open doors to more college choices, so he bought a prep book and spent time getting ready for the test.  His efforts paid off. Minor recently achieved an SAT score of 2090.  That score places him in the top 4% of all high school students who took the test this year.

Minor proudly sports the green and gold and participates in several school activities. He plays the tuba in the band and is a member of the National Honor Society.  He also spends a lot of time tutoring other Worthing students in various school subjects.

Traquan is currently weighing full scholarship offers from both, Amherst and the University of Texas.  He is leaning toward majoring in computer science.  Whichever path he takes, he is sure to continue to make Worthing proud.
